About Ferris

We started in 2016 after a friend's spouse visa was refused over an employment date that did not match his payslips. He qualified comfortably. The form had been filled in at midnight.

Our story

Most visa refusals are administrative. A date that does not match, a payment nobody explained, a question answered the way it was asked rather than the way it was meant. We built the business around catching those before an embassy does.

How we work

Four rules we do not bend

They cost us work occasionally. They are also why our approval rate is what it is.

01

We turn work away

If your case is unlikely to succeed we tell you at the assessment stage and do not take the fee. About one enquiry in nine ends that way.

02

Two people see every file

Your handler prepares it and a second handler reviews it without seeing their notes. Nothing reaches an embassy on one person's word.

03

Fixed fees, quoted first

Our fee and the government fee, both in writing before you commit. We do not bill by the hour and we do not add charges later.

04

We promise nothing about the outcome

No agent can guarantee a decision, so we do not pretend to. What we stand behind is the quality of the file we submit.

🔒

Your documents stay yours

Encrypted storage, access limited to the two handlers on your file, and deletion on request with written confirmation.

↺

We pay for our own mistakes

If a refusal comes back to something we got wrong, we rebuild and resubmit it and you pay us nothing further.

The team

Eighteen people who read the rules for a living

Our handlers came from consular work, immigration paralegal roles and travel operations. Several of them used to sit on the other side of the counter, which turns out to be the most useful training available.

  • Specialists

Each handler covers two or three destinations rather than all 63.

  • Rules read weekly

Guidance changes constantly. We track the updates so you do not file against last month's rules.

  • Six working languages

English, French, Shona, Swahili, Arabic and Portuguese, all in house.

  • Regulated and insured

Registered advisers, with professional indemnity cover on every file.

Milestones

Nine years, briefly

'16

Two people, one route

Founded in London, handling UK visitor visas for families in southern Africa. Forty files in the first year.

'19

Schengen and the US

Added European and American routes, and brought in the second handler review that still shapes how we work.

'22

The document vault

Built encrypted storage in house, having decided that emailing passport scans was indefensible.

'26

Sixty-three destinations

Eighteen handlers, weekly published timing data, and a 98.2% approval rate across everything we file.
